Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit (vitae spiritualis ianua), and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church, and made sharers in her mission: "Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word."
We welcome all families with young children. For your first step, you must become a registered, practicing, contributing member of St. Rose of Lima. Your second step is contacting Susie in the office, 851-1874, to schedule the baptism class and get a Baptism kit. Be sure you provide all the necessary documents 10 days before your scheduled baptism class. The Baptism class takes place on the 2nd Thursday of every month at 6 pm. At least one godparent must be a practicing Catholic.
All Baptisms are celebrated on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & 4th Sunday of each month at 12:00 noon, after the 10:30 Mass.
There are no baptisms during Lent.
Family Registration forms are available by clicking here. PLEASE read page one of the directions carefully to send the form via email. If you don't, it comes to us blank.
